Matthew Good is a multi-platinum selling Canadian recording artist, best known for his signature vocal style,
guitar-driven melodies, and cinematic lyrics. I created the music video for his song ‘There the First Time’, from his
album ‘Something Like a Storm’. The concept of this lyric music video is based around the idea of an astronaut going on a metaphorical journey of self-discovery and introspection. He is on his own trying to better understand his
feelings, thoughts, values and desires, and connect with his inner world on a much deeper, spiritual level.
I came up with the idea of the visual concept of this video, created 3D animations, special effects, and motion graphics, and did the compositing.
